It’s no secret that your wedding guests are all about the food at your reception! Creating a DIY food station is a fun way to help your guests feel involved (and full!) during your cocktail hour or reception.
Candy Station
Candy buffets are one of the original wedding food stations! You can choose rainbow colored candies or stay with your wedding colors. You can also apply this idea for a trail mix bar or popcorn station. Just set out personalized candy bags next to your station so guests can also take their goodies home!
Smores Bar
This is a really fun option if you have an outdoor reception or if your venue has a fire pit! Encourage your guests to mingle outside while creating their own perfect bite-sized s’mores.
Taco and Nachos Station
Fun for a fiesta themed wedding, or during a margarita cocktail hour! Invite your guests to create their version of the Mexican cuisine by setting out tortillas, chips, and all the toppings. You can get extra creative and have a queso fountain to top it off!
Mashed Potatoes Station
Set out mashed potatoes in a unique dish (or baked potatoes for a more rustic vibe) with all the toppings. The most important topping to set out: bacon!
Ice Cream Sundae Bar
This is perfect for your summer wedding! Sundaes are an all-American dessert, and makes an adorable DIY station for your guests. Keep your guests from getting messy by putting pre-scooped ice cream in mason jars and filling your table with delicious toppings!
Coffee Bar
It’s a great idea to have a drink alternative to alcohol, especially for a brunch or daytime wedding. Not to mention the caffeine will keep your guests dancing the entire reception! One of our brides, Reneé, planned a special coffee bar as she is a talented barista!
